| July 28, 2010--Chanting "Hey,
hey Obama, don't deport my momma" and "Obama, eschuca, estamos en la
lucha," hundreds of children and their parents rallied in Lafayette
Park and in front of the White House calling on President
Obama to stop deportations. Gustavo
Torres, executive director of Casa de Maryland, spearheaded this
Children's March Against Deportations and Congressman Luis Gutierrez
(D-IL) was the featured
speaker. |
