Nov. 4, 2011--"The American
Dream
has been hijacked, but the good news is we can take it back," Herman
Cain
declared. Cain, who
has been dogged by sexual harrassment allegations for the past four
days, received an enthusiastic reception. He delivered his basic
stump speech. Cain did slip in a zinger at the beginning of his
remarks, asking, "Before I get started I want to know whose
teleprompters are these because I don't need 'em. Maybe they're
for somebody else." (Mitt Romney used them).

Referring to the allegations,
Cain said, "You know I've been in Washington all week, and I've
attracted a little bit of attention." He did not address the
allegations, but instead spoke about an article in today's New York Times which "tries to make
a case of how close the Koch brothers and I are." "I'm proud to
know the Koch brothers," Cain stated. "I'm very proud to know the
Koch brothers." Cain then joked, "I am the Koch brothers' brother
from another mother," prompting David Koch, who was sitting the front
row, to jump out of his chair and give the victory signal.
