June 3, 2011--Many Republican
leaders addressed the conference including Rep. Alan West (R-FL), a
star of the freshman class.

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), chairman
of the House Budget Committee, asked, "Where's the recovery?"
Ryan emphasized four points: cut spending, further reform the welfare
system, fulfill the mission of health retirement security, and grow the
economy. "We're going to keep leading in the House," he declared.

of the House Republican Policy Committee.

House Speaker John Boehner
stated, "We've wasted $2 trillion, and what have we gotten for
it? We've lost 2.7 million jobs since he took office."
Boehner outlined Republican accomplishments thus far and then turned to
the "looming problem" of the $14.3 national debt. On the
debt limit, Boehner said, "I told the President, Mr. President, there
is not going to be an increase in the debt ceiling without real cuts in
spending and real changes to the way we spend people's money."

"We want to partner with you; we
want to work side-by-side with you to win this battle of freedom," said
RNC chairman Reince Priebus. "This president has been a disaster
to our economy, has been a disaster and a threat to freedom in our
country, and he must be defeated in 2012," Priebus said.
