Paul Ryan (R-WI), chairman of the House Budget Committee, asked, "Where's the recovery?"  Ryan emphasized four points: cut spending, further reform the welfare system, fulfill the mission of health retirement security, and grow the economy.  "We're going to keep leading in the House," he declared.
Rep. Tom Price (R-GA), chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee.
House Speaker John Boehner stated, "We've wasted $2 trillion, and what have we gotten for it?  We've lost 2.7 million jobs since he took office."  Boehner outlined Republican accomplishments thus far and then turned to the "looming problem" of the $14.3 national debt.  On the debt limit, Boehner said, "I told the President, Mr. President, there is not going to be an increase in the debt ceiling without real cuts in spending and real changes to the way we spend people's money."
"We want to partner with you; we want to work side-by-side with you to win this battle of freedom," said RNC chairman Reince Priebus.  "This president has been a disaster to our economy, has been a disaster and a threat to freedom in our country, and he must be defeated in 2012," Priebus said.
