Fan Freedom Project's Ticket Monster made a bit of a splash.  The Fan Freedom Project launched in Feb. 2011 to advance the rights of ticket holders.
  • According to its website:

  • The Fan Freedom Project believes that all fans have basic rights as ticket holders, and we support legislation and promote activism to protect those rights, including:

  • Ownership. When fans buy tickets, we own them.
  • Transferability. As fans, we should be able to sell or give away our tickets to anyone we choose, anytime we choose, in any way we choose.
  • Transparency. Fans have the right to basic information about our ticket purchases when we buy – including how many tickets are available to the public, and how many are held back for VIPs and other special customers.
  • Fair Access. All fans deserve the chance to buy event tickets without unfair competition from automated ticket-buying software that jumps ahead in line, such as bot programs.
  • Competition. Fans benefit from a competitive ticket marketplace, as competition provides choice and promotes innovation, better prices and consumer protection.
