Other campaigns and groups took advantage of the rally to get their messages out. 
Wayne Powell, a retired Army colonel and lawyer, is challenging House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in Virginia's 7th CD.  "I'm trying to get my name out," Powell said.
A supporter hands out stickers for Tim Kaine.  Kaine, a former governor and DNC chairman, is seeking to fill the seat held U.S. Sen. Jim Webb (D), who is retiring after one term.  He is likely to face former U.S. Sen. George Allen (R).
A small contingent of supporters of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul showed up.
ONE is running a "Thrive: Food, Farmers, Future" campaign to call on "the G8 to end global hunger and malnutrition through investments in smart agriculture programs."    Activists are encouraging people to sign biodegradable post cards embedded with carrot seeds which they will then send to the White House.  The group launched the effort on April 10.
Activists with Generation Opportunity were handing out tee-shirts.  Generation Opportunity describes itself as "a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that seeks to educate and organize young Americans on the challenges facing our nation."
