Romney Speaks at Convention of Newspaper Editors and Executives
April 4, 2012--A day after sweeping primaries in Wisconsin, Maryland and DC, former Gov. Mitt Romney addressed the Newspaper Association of America/American Society of Newspaper Editors Convention.  President Obama addressed the same gathering the day before, and in his speech Romney rebutted charges that Obama had made, saying that the President "went through a series of straw men."  Romney in turn made some charges of his own.  The fall campaign appears to be effectively underway, although challengers for the Republican nomination remain in the race.  (prepared remarks)

After his speech, Romney took questions from Ken Paulson, president of ASNE.
