Jerry Brown for Governor - One major challenge was settling on the color. I wanted to use a yellow or golden color to represent California as the Golden State and project sunny optimism. However, yellow can be difficult to read, and it was necessary to consider how the logo would work across different medium. Pantone 114C proved too light so I settled on Pantone 123C. Other questions included whether to include the outline of the state in the design, and whether, since Brown is a well-known candidate, it was necessary to include his last name.

Cooking Up A Better Life with MISHA - A television show in production for the ABC 7 in the Washington Metro. Host Misha McK wanted a design that conveyed "positivity" and referenced cooking and the show's location in the Capital area. She also selected purple and gold as the colors. Consideration had to be given to how the logo might appear on a TV monitor and the possibility of animating it.
