MITT ROMNEY: “I WANT MISSOURI TO BE A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE, WORK, AND RAISE A FAMILY”

Boston, MA – Mitt Romney made the following statement on the results of the Missouri caucuses:

“Ann and I thank the voters who took part in today’s caucuses in Missouri. I am proud and honored to have earned the support received today. I’m running in Missouri, and I’m running in all fifty states, for a simple reason: I want Missouri to be a better place to live, work, and raise a family. What we have now is not the best that America can do – it’s just the best this administration can do. It is unacceptable for 24 million Americans to be struggling to find work. I’ve spent my life turning around failing enterprises. There’s no enterprise that needs more turning around right now than the federal government. Right now, under Barack Obama, the federal government is standing in the way of economic recovery. I have a plan to get it out of the way and get the economy growing. And that plan begins by earning every vote I can in order to send Barack Obama on his way. I thank all those in Missouri who are contributing to that critical cause.”

U.S. SENATOR ROY BLUNT: MITT ROMNEY IS THE BEST CANDIDATE TO GET OUR ECONOMY BACK ON TRACK

Boston, MA – U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) issued the following statement regarding the Missouri caucuses today:

“As I saw once again today during the caucuses in Clayton and Bonhomme, there is enthusiastic support in Missouri for Governor Romney's pro-growth agenda to jumpstart job creation across America. Families and job creators in our state are looking for a leader who will create more certainty, rein in out-of-control spending, and reduce the size of government in Washington. Thanks to his experience as governor and in the private sector, Mitt Romney continues to garner strong support in Missouri and nationwide because he's the best candidate to get our economy back on track.”

FORMER SEN. KIT BOND: MISSOURI VOTERS WANT A CONSERVATIVE BUSINESSMAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE

Boston, MA – Former Missouri Senator Kit Bond issued the following statement regarding the Missouri caucuses today:

“With the economy in the sad shape it’s in, I’m gratified that the voters here have chosen the one candidate who has actual experience turning around failing enterprises. Mitt Romney has accomplished many things in his life, but it’s his experience in business that truly makes him stand out in this field. Here in Missouri, where a lot of people are hurting, we sorely need the kind of change that he alone is capable of bringing to Washington. We need a conservative businessman in the White House. Republican voters here clearly agree.”
