Boston, MA –Mitt Romney today earned the support of influential California elected officials.

“I am proud to have the support of so many elected officials from California,” said Mitt Romney. “I look forward to working with them during my campaign to promote job growth and reverse President Obama’s failed policies.”   

Announcing his support, Congressman Buck McKeon, Chairman of the House Armed Services, said, “President Obama’s policies have failed California and the country. Mitt Romney has a proven record of job creation in both the private sector and as a governor.”

“Mitt Romney’s record as governor speaks for itself,” said State Senate Republican Leader Bob Dutton. “He created jobs, balanced budgets, and cut taxes. Mitt Romney knows how the economy works and he has the much-needed experience to lead the country out of the economic downturn.”

Congressman Buck McKeon Was First Elected In 1992. McKeon is the current chairman of the House Armed Services Committee. Before his election to Congress, McKeon served on the Santa Clarita city council and also served as Santa Clarita’s first mayor.
