ROMNEY CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCES VIRGINIA MILITARY FAMILIES FOR ROMNEY

ARLINGTON, VA – Today, our campaign announced Virginia Military Families for Romney. President Obama does not have a record to run on and people across Virginia are disappointed that he has failed to put forward a new plan for the future. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are offering exactly what our nation needs – real reforms for a real recovery.

“This election is a choice between two very different visions for our nation’s future – and neither our military veterans nor our service members and their families can afford four more years of Obama policies. President Obama has proposed significant military funding cuts and has been AWOL on any leadership effort to prevent over a trillion dollars in funding reductions to our military. This lack of leadership could result in nearly 136,000 job losses in Virginia.  His proposed 2013 budget cut $12 billion to military health care and proposed increased cost burdens to our veterans and their families in addition to requesting that Congress approve two new rounds of base closure and realignment.  On day one as president, Mitt Romney will reverse President Obama’s defense cuts, putting Veterans, and the country, back to work. He will enact positive reforms that target inefficiency at the VA, and he will reform the tax code, reduce cumbersome regulations on businesses, and reduce the deficit – freeing up companies to hire new employees. Mitt Romney has the leadership America needs for a real recovery, and that is why I am honored to serve on the advisory board of Virginia Military Families for Romney.” --The Honorable Terrie L. Suit, Navy wife and former State Delegate representing Virginia Beach and Chesapeake.
