FORMER SENATOR JOHN DANFORTH ENDORSES MITT
ROMNEY
Boston, MA – Mitt Romney
today announced the endorsement of former Missouri Senator and
Ambassador John Danforth. Senator Danforth joins Senator Roy Blunt and
former Senator Jim Talent in endorsing Mitt Romney.
“It is an honor to have Senator Danforth’s support,” said Mitt Romney.
“For his entire life, Senator Danforth has served Missouri and his
country with distinction. His values and commitment to American ideals
are what all public servants should aspire to replicate.”
Announcing
his support, Senator Danforth said, “This election is one of, if not
the, most important of my lifetime. Our country faces the possibility
of losing our place in the world if our economy fails to restart. Mitt
Romney
has taken on significant challenges at every moment in his life.
Whether it was turning around struggling companies, rescuing the
Olympics, or restoring fiscal health in his state as governor, he has
proven that he has both the skill and leadership ability to ensure that
the United States remains the strongest and most respected nation in
the world. I am honored to join Senators Roy Blunt and Jim Talent in
endorsing Mitt Romney. With their help and the hard work of the many
Missourians supporting Mitt Romney, we will defeat President Obama in
November and set a new course for the country.”
