(elected Jan. 22, 2011)  Candidate for the Republican nomination for Governor in 2010, finishing second, with 32% to Chris Dudley.  Republican candidate for State Treasurer in 2008.  Deputy chief of staff to the Governor of Oregon.  Co-founded (Jan. 1997) and president, CEO and chairman at Pixelworks.  Vice president of corporate development, product marketing and engineering at InFocus Systems.  General partner with Battery Ventures.  Director of product marketing at Computervision, Corp.  Started his career with the Ford Motor Company and Boeing in product engineering design roles.  B.S. in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, 1976.

(from July 2011)  Owner of The Leo Company, a marketing, public and government relations firm based in Aurora, since 1997.  Communications director for the Oregon Republican Party, 2009-11.  Directed congressional affairs office at the INS for much of the 1980s (political appointee in the Reagan administration).  Master's degree in government from the Kennedy School of Government, 1991; B.S. in public administration from the University of Oregon, 1974.
