Santorum’s PAC
Announces Additional NH Advisory Committee Members
Washington, DC – Former Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) announced today
three additional members who have joined America’s Foundation’s
Advisory Committee in New Hampshire. Jim Finnegan, Elaine Kindler and
Sue Carroll have come on board to help inform Senator Santorum and
America’s Foundation about the concerns and issues important to New
Hampshire families.
Jim Finnegan was a longtime Editorial Page Director and Chief Editorial
Writer for the Union Leader. He was well-known for his
straightforward approach to covering the news and his forthright
editorials about the issues of the day. A Pennsylvania native,
Finnegan attended Hershey Junior College and Boston University and then
went on to broadcast news on local radio. In 1957, Finnegan moved to
New Hampshire and started at the Union Leader where he would stay until
his retirement in 1995. After his retirement, Finnegan
volunteered on Pat Buchanan’s presidential campaign in 1996.
“What a great addition Jim is to our team in New Hampshire. Jim’s
intimate knowledge of the issues important to New Hampshire voters will
be invaluable to our organization, and I look forward to many candid
discussions with him over the months ahead,” said Senator Santorum.
“I have followed Senator Santorum for many years, and have long
respected his passionate, conservative views. All too often,
politicians back down when the going gets tough, but not Rick
Santorum,” said Jim Finnegan. “Senator Santorum epitomizes youth,
intelligence and high principle at a time when many people are
searching for those attributes in our country’s leaders. I look forward
to being a part of his team as he considers a run for president.”
In addition to Jim Finnegan, Sue Carroll and Elaine Kindler have agreed
to serve on America’s Foundation’s New Hampshire Advisory Committee.
Carroll, a Tea Party activist who currently serves as the Atkinson GOP
Chairwoman, will serve on America’s Foundation’s Tea Party/Taxpayer
Advisory Committee. Kindler is a pro-life/pro-family activist who is
active in the faith based community. She will serve on the PAC’s
Pro-life/Pro-family Advisory Committee.
Over the last several weeks, Senator Santorum announced that former
Manchester GOP Chair Jerry Thibodeau, State Representative Daniel
Tamburello, former Manchester Alderman At-Large Richard Girard, St.
Anselm college student Brock Weber, and business owners Charlie and
Laura Morgan are also part of the Advisory Committee for America’s
Foundation in New Hampshire. Additional Advisory Committee
Members will be announced in the coming weeks and months.
