Verona, PA - Former Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) announced that his campaign for President has received the endorsement of South Carolina State Senator Greg Gregory.

State Senator Greg Gregory said, "Senator Santorum has shown a strong, consistent commitment to conservative values throughout his time in public service, even when it has not been popular to do so.  I am particularly impressed with his plan to revive manufacturing and bring jobs home to the U.S.  This is the type of conviction we need in the White House and I am excited to have the opportunity to work with Senator Santorum's campaign to bring real positive change to Washington in 2012."

Senator Santorum said, "I am thrilled to have Greg's support.  He is an important leader for South Carolina conservatives and I'd deeply honored he's decided to endorse me and join the fight. I look forward to working with them as we build our campaign to win the first-in-the-south primary in South Carolina."

State Senator Greg Gregory of Lancaster, SC represents Senate District 16, where he serves on the Agriculture and Natural Resources, Corrections and Penology, Fish and Game, and Judiciary committees.  Gregory served in the South Carolina State Senate from 1992 - 2008, and returned to the State Senate when he won a special election to replace now-U.S. Representative Mick Mulvaney in April 2011 with 77% of the vote.  State Senator Gregory and his wife Sherri are the proud parents of two children, Marshall and Ellen.
