COLUMBUS, OH – Americans for Prosperity (AFP) – Ohio, the state’s
leading grassroots advocate for economic freedom and limited
government, today began airing a new radio ad highlighting how
President Obama’s energy policies are bankrupting coal plants and
hurting Ohioans.
Americans for Prosperity is airing the ad primarily in Southeast
Ohio, where 86% of Ohio’s electricity is made and the region most
acutely impacted by the administration’s energy policies. A similar ad
is running in parts of Virginia as well. The ads are AFP’s latest
effort to push back against the President’s energy policies and restore
economic freedom to the energy market.
“With so many coal mines closing and Ohioans losing their jobs, it
defies belief that President Obama is doubling down on his foolish
policies,” Morgan continued. “We hope the President will listen to this
ad and stop hurting our economy.”

CINCINNATI, OH– Americans for Prosperity-Ohio, the state’s leading
advocate for economic freedom, will drop gas to $1.84* a
gallon this Sunday in Cincinnati as part of its Obama’s
Failing Agenda Tour. Highlighting President Obama and Sherrod
Brown’s failing green energy policies that have gas prices
skyrocketing, $1.84 was the cost of gas four years ago before President
Obama took office.
“President Obama’s ideologically-driven “green energy”
policies have made it more difficult for Ohioans to fill up their tank
and drive to work and get their kids to school,” said Seth
Morgan, AFP-Ohio Policy Director. “And Ohio’s own Senator? He’s
been a rubber stamp for President Obama’s failing green energy
policies, putting Obama before his own constituents.”

AFP Ohio Calls
Half-a-Million Ohioans
COLUMBUS – Americans for Prosperity-Ohio, the state’s leading
advocate for economic freedom, today reached a half-a-million calls to
Ohioans, educating citizens about the failed economic policies Senator
Sherrod Brown and the Obama Administration.
Just one aspect of Americans for Prosperity-Ohio’s massive
operations, the freedom phone system’s state-of-the-art technology
reaches thousands of Ohioans every day. Moreover, with 7 offices
statewide in Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, Butler County, Copley, Blue
Ash, and Lima volunteers are being given the tools to educate their
families, friends, and neighbors about policies such as Utility MACT
that are hurting the economy.
“This is just the beginning; the failures of these
politicians just keep piling up and cannot be ignored. It’s time for
policies that lead Ohio to prosperity, not poverty,” said Seth
Morgan, AFP-Ohio Policy Director. “With phone banking, door
knocking, rallies and events, and concerned citizens volunteering hours
and hours of their time, AFP-Ohio is educating citizens about the
failed policies Senator Brown and President Obama that have Ohioans
counting every penny.”
On September 22nd, Americans for Prosperity will
undertake an effort to make over double this amount of calls nationwide
as part of the National Freedom Action Day. Americans for
Prosperity-Ohio will also shortly be announcing large rallies in the
coming weeks with major speakers as part of the national Failing Agenda
tour.
