NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 5, 2012-- The New York Times today announced that NYTimes.com will host a mix of live and produced videos featuring Times reporters, Opinon columnists and newsroom editors on Super Tuesday. Segments will begin at 7:00 p.m. ET when the first polls close, and air at the top of every hour through the evening.

The video segments will feature many of the Times’s political reporters and columnists, who will help analyze the Super Tuesday results with an eye toward the general election.

Among those appearing will be chief political correspondents Jeff Zeleny and Jim Rutenberg; FiveThirtyEight blogger Nate Silver; chief correspondent for The Caucus blog Michael Shear; Washington bureau chief David Leonhardt, White House correspondent Jackie Calmes, New York Times Magazine political correspondent Matt Bai; and reporters Jeremy Peters, Ashley Parker, Brian Stelter, Nick Confessore, and Michael Barbaro. Megan Liberman, deputy news editor, will host the news segments.

Op-ed columnist Charles Blow will host the opinion segments, which will feature Gail Collins, Bill Keller, Joe Nocera, Ross Douthat and Thomas B. Edsall.

Times journalists will be tweeting from @nytimes and @thecaucus and will also answer questions posted to Twitter with the #asknyt hashtag. The best Twitter messages and comments will be featured to the NYTimes.com homepage. The entire Super Tuesday package will also be available on The Times’s iPhone, Android and iPad news apps.

The video segments will be accessible through an interactive map on the homepage of NYTimes.com that will provide real-time, county-by-county results in all 10 states. The map will supplement live coverage on The Times’s Results Dashboard, which incorporates updates and analysis from Times reporters, voters' voices and exit polling.

In addition to video segments, The Times’s Election Guide will provide a delegate tracker, candidate and state profiles, with delegate allocation rules and comprehensive polling data. A photo feature called “Voter Portraits” will provide extensive analysis of the exit polls, including a graphical breakdown of how different groups voted.
