Today, It’s Tennessee’s Turn To Weigh In On The Republican Presidential Nomination

NASHVILLE, TN - Today, Tennessee voters will go to the polls to vote in the Tennessee Presidential Preference Primary. With 55 delegates at stake (and 3 unbound delegates), Tennessee offers the third most delegates among the ten states holding primaries and caucuses today.

“This is the first opportunity for Tennessee voters to express their concern about the direction of our country and President Obama’s lack of leadership,” said Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Chris Devaney.

“We are thrilled to be playing such a critical role in this year’s nomination process, instead of having to rely on states like Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina to make our choice for us.

“Tennessee has a broad cross-section of Republican voters, which should make for a competitive finish among the candidates as they strive to appeal to those voters. Folks truly appreciate having the opportunity to see most the candidates in our state to hear their plans to reverse the negative impact of President Obama’s policies,” concluded Devaney.

Polls are open from 8:00am eastern to 8:00pm eastern and 7:00am central to 7:00pm central.
