Newt 2012

"For the Dogs"
  1:55 web video from Jan. 11, 2012.

[Light Music] Male Announcer:

TEXT: The most important question this election: Who can defeat Barack Obama in the debates this fall?

TEXT: Consider Mitt Romney

Romney: I like being able to fire people who provide services to me...

Romney: Corporations are people my friend.  We can raise taxes on--  Of course they are.  Everything corporations earn ultimately goes to people.  [Laughter in audience]  Where do you think it goes?  [Audience responses: in their pockets]  Romney: Whose pockets?  Whose pockets?

Romney: We hired a lawn company to mow our lawn, and they had illegal immigrants that were working there...  So we went to the company and we said look, we can't have any illegals working on our property.  That's--I'm running for office for pete's sake, I can't have illegals.

Romney: Ten thousand bucks. Ten thousand dollar bet?  Perry: I'm not in the betting business but...

Romney: I know what it's like to worry whether you're going to get fired.  There were a couple of times I wondered whether I was going to get a pink slip.

Romney: I've always been if you will a rodent and rabbit hunter, alright, small, small varmits if you will.  And I began when I was 15 or so and have hunted those kind of varmits since then more than two times.

Chris Wallace: I have a yellow lab named Winston.  I would no sooner put him in a kennel on the roof of my car than I would one of my children.  Question.  What were you thinking?  Romney: This is a completely airtight kennel and mounted on the top of our car.  He climbed up there regularly, enjoyed himself.  He was in a kennel a great deal of time as well.  We loved the dog.  It was where he was comfortable, and we had five kids inside the car.  My guess is he liked it a lot better in his kennel than he would have liked it inside.

TEXT: Imagine what Obama would do with a candidate like that.

TEXT: Only Newt Gingrich can win the debates against Obama.  Mitt Romney can't.

Romney: Who let the dogs out...

Notes: A compendium of Romney's greatest gaffes; this looks like something the DNC might have put together.
