Obama for America

"2012 Iowa Caucus: The President's Live Stream to Caucuses Around the State" +
  1:38 web video from Jan. 4, 2012.

[Nat. Sound]

Man (Dave Langston): Hey we're here at the 2012 Iowa caucuses where we're to show our support for President Obama, whohoo.

[Music]

Woman (Peggy Whitworth, Volunteer): Well it's pretty exciting.  I mean the man's the head of the free world and he's taking time to talk to the people attending the Democratic caucuses in Iowa.  That's exciting.

Obama via teleconference on video screen: When people at a grassroots level are getting involved and they're getting engaged and they're feeling empowered and they're joining hands with each other, that's a powerful force.  It can't be stopped.

Man (Derek Eadon): Iowa's very important to the president, it's very important to the campaign.  Our volunteers feel a great sense of pride in the fact that they sent him to the White House.

Kameron Middlebrooks, Volunteer: You know this is actually a campaign for the people, by the people.

Sam Reno, Volunteer: The key to getting neighbors out and being involved in a grassroot effort is that they feel like they're a part of it, they own this campaign, they know how to say what it is they support.

Derek Eadon, Iowa State Director-Obama for America: We have teams across the state.  We've held over 1,200 trainings, phone banks or other types of events, and just this week we passed 450,000 calls to Iowans just since April.

Obama via teleconference on video screen: Because of you, because of all the memories I have of being in your living rooms, meeting you in a diner or seeing you over at a campaign office I have never lost that same source of inspiration that drove me to embark on this journey in the first place.  You guys inspire me every single day.

[applause]
