[SFX Door Knock] Elena: Hola ¿cómo está? Soy voluntaria del Presidente Obama y he estado hablando con los vecinos acerca de la reforma de salud y me gustaría hablar con ustedes.

Luis: Pasa a tomarte un cafecito con nosotros.

Elena: El seguro médico para la familia Safe fue un salva vida.

Josefina: Cuando yo fui al hospital a llevar mi hijo Luis me dan la noticia que el posiblemente tiene leucemia. Yo no lo podía creer...

Luis: Yo dije Dios mío ¿cómo vamos a hacerle frente todo esto?

María Amaro: Quería compartir con ustedes, que con esta nueva ley, personas con condiciones pre-existentes, no se le va a poder negar seguro médico.

Para la familia Safe la familia significa todo... su hijo se enfermó de un pronto, y su mundo cambió.

Pero gracias a la reforma da salud, su hijo va a poder tener acceso a seguro medico económico.

Yo me siento muy orgullosa del presidente Obama porque el luchó para que tuviéramos una reforma de salud que nos ayudara.

Elena: Hi, how are you? I’m a volunteer with President Obama and I’ve been talking to neighbors about health care reform and I’d like to talk to you.

Luis: Come in, have some coffee with us.

Elena: Access to health care for the Safe family was a lifesaver.

Josefina: When I went to the hospital with my son Luis and they gave me the news that he possibly had leukemia. I couldn’t believe it.

Luis: I said, my God, how are we going to deal with this?

Elena: I wanted to share with you, with the new law, insurance [companies] will not be able to deny health care to people with pre-existing conditions.

To the Safe family, family means everything... their son got sick very suddenly and their world changed. 

But thanks to health care reform, their son will be able to have access to affordable health care.

I feel very proud of President Obama, because he fought so we could have health care reform that would help us.
