AFP Announces Reception during GOP Convention:
“A Salute to Entrepreneurs Building America”

Event will honor David Koch and Art Pope

Arlington, VA – Today, Americans for Prosperity announced they will be holding a reception called, “A Salute to Entrepreneurs Building America” on August 30th at 4:00 pm in Tampa, Florida. The reception, held during the Republican convention, will honor David Koch, Americans for Prosperity Foundation Chairman and Art Pope, Americans for Prosperity Chairman. AFP President Tim Phillips made the following statement:

“Earlier this year, President Obama suggested that entrepreneurs ‘didn’t built that’ referring to their business. However, we at AFP recognize that the hard work, sacrifice, and dedication that goes into creating American jobs and prosperity comes from individuals, and not government. That is why we will be honoring these two remarkable businessmen who are dedicated to the principles of economic freedom, and have done so much to advance its cause. AFP is pleased to be hosting this reception to honor their vision and work towards creating a more prosperous future for all Americans.”
