Tampa, FL – In recognition of ‘National Dog Day’ and on the eve of the kickoff of the National Republican Convention, join ‘Dogs Against Romney’ on August 26 at 3pm at Lykes Gaslight Park at the corner of Kennedy and Tampa for a press conference unveiling ‘The Crate Escape: Seamus Unleashed.’ A video game initially for iPhones and iPads, ‘Crate Escape’ promotes kindness to all animals by satirizing Mitt Romney’s infamous family trip to Canada in which he coldly strapped his poor dog Seamus to the hood of his car for 12 hours, despite it falling ill in the middle of the torturous journey.  Crate Escape comes on the heels an in conjunction with a new song by New Wave music legends DEVO immortalizing Romney’s misadventure called “Don't Roof Rack Me, Bro! (Seamus Unleashed).”

Scott Crider, founder of the 70,000 plus member Dogs Against Romney: ‘Mitt Romney’s mistreatment of his Irish Setter Seamus landed him on two national animal abuse registries.  It begs the question: should we have a President that isn’t even qualified to adopt a pet?  Dogs aren’t luggage, Mr. Romney.  If this is how he treats a furry member of his own family, just think how this lap dog of Wall Street will treat middle-class families as President.”

Following the event, loving dog owners will demonstrate for the Republican Presidential Nominee how to humanely transport man’s best friend: Inside the Car.   Romney still laughs off questions about his animal cruelty to this day and dismisses questions about Seamus’ ultimate fate, namely whether the mistreated Irish setter ran away when the family reached Canada.
