Caucusing at Leavitt Middle School in Las Vegas   ...3 of 4 >
Las Vegas, Feb. 4, 2012--Thirty-six people showed up for the caucus in Precinct 3435, but one had to leave to go to work.
The caucus started late.  (Above) one of the attendees talks before the caucus started.  (Site manager Ken Rowley later explained that the manual for chairmen had not been included in the packages and "that slowed everything down."
The caucus finally started.  Attendees voted for Clark LeFevre (center), a firefighter, as chairman.  Here he speaks with one of the volunteers (left) helping to run the caucus.  "We're all here to get Obama out," LeFevre declared.  "We can't afford to have him in there."
Participants selected 5 delegates and 3 alternates, there were short speeches on behalf of the candidates and the ballots were handed out.
