Restore Our Future General Election Ads, 2012

According to the Sunlight Foundation Reporting Group's "Follow the Unlimited Money" (+), Restore Our Future spent the most of any group on independent expenditures opposing President Obama, a total of $88.6 million.  That figure does not include money spent during the busy primary season ($20.8 million against Santorum and $18.7 million against Gingrich, $13.9 million supporting Romney).  Restore Our Future ran a few ads a month from May onwards.  Among the noteworthy ads:

-Two ads from October posited a "new normal" of high unemployment and crushing debt.

-"Genuinely Cares" featured Sgt. Peter Damon, a double amputee, to show Romney as a person who cares.

-The closing ad, "Flatline," addressed the economy and warned that "Obama's second term agenda is the same as the first."
